Build and integration

Integrate in small steps that the team can observe and repeat. Define the boundary, test the hardware safely, verify the software interface, and then connect the system to the rest of the robot.

Integration sequence

  1. Inspect the mechanism and electrical path.
  2. Prove one actuator at a conservative output.
  3. Verify sensors and units.
  4. Add closed-loop behavior.
  5. Add commands and operator control.
  6. Integrate coordination and safety constraints.
  7. Test realistic cycles and failure cases.

Leave evidence

Record what was tested, under what conditions, what passed, and what remains uncertain. “It worked once” is an observation, not a validation plan.
